Provides dimensions and tolerances necessary to tape surface mounted components such that they be automatically handled. Covers taping requirements for active and passive surface mounted components such as but not limited to diodes, capacitors, resistors, transistors, inductors and integrated circuits. It defines only 8mm and 12mm carrier tapes for surface mount components.
