Adopts ISO 18385:2016, which specifies requirements for the production of products used in the collection, storage and analysis of biological material for forensic DNA purposes, but not those consumables and reagents used in post-amplification analysis.

AS 5483-2012 will be withdrawn on 24 February 2020 at which time AS ISO 18385:2017 will be superseding AS 5483-2012.
