In an effort to retain qualified female engineers in the workforce, Engineers Australia initiated this manual. It was written not to attract more females to engineering but to address the issue of how to retain those already in engineering and create an improved workplace for all minority groups. It is aimed at senior executives who wish to increase the levels of diversity in their organisations, engineering managers and supervisors who wish to improve their skills in managing diversity, and female engineers who wish to stay in the profession
