Road Safety is a significant world-wide problem. At present, almost 1.2 million persons are killed, and between 20 and 50 million are injured, in road crashes globally each year. The total cost of road crashes in Australia has been estimated as about $15 billions per year. THis publication provides some understanding of the road safety problem and how it might be tackled, and to set out practical strategies and solutions that hopefully will be of assistance to those concerned with addressing the problem.
