This Australian Technical Specification sets out requirements for cistern inlet valves that are intended for installation or replacement use in flushing cisterns of the types specified in AS 1172.2, and also for cistern inlet valves that are intended to operate from a gravity-fed supply. Cistern inlet valves intended for use in gravity-fed applications will be designed to operate at a minimum supply pressure of 5 kPa, whilst meeting minimum flow rate requirements as specified in this Australian Technical Specification.Cistern inlet valves require certification to WaterMark Level 1.
