This document specifies the requirements for the design, manufacture and installation of the following types of electrical direct current and alternating current systems, either individually or in combination: a) electrical extra-low voltage direct current (DC) systems, which are operated with nominal potentials of up to DC 50 V;b) single-phase alternating current (AC) systems that are operated with a voltage not exceeding AC 250 V.
