The recommendations will facilitate a clear understanding for engineering comparisons, discussions and the preparation of technical papers. The usages represent the predominant practice or the acceptable practice. Alternates have been included for clarification where agreement is not complete. The Recommended Practice deals with the dimensions and physical parts only and does not attempt to standardize the design considerations.
