Describes requirements for limiting dimensions, marking, materials, construction and type tests for metallic mechanical cable glands. Allows for interchangeability between complete glands of different makes, but not between component parts. Glands are suitable for cables complying with following Standards: BS 5467, BS 6004, BS 6007, BS 6116, BS 6346, BS 6480, BS 6500, BS 6622, BS 6724 and BS 6883. Also suitable for some similar cables not included in these British Standards.
