Defines the location of the controls in road vehicles by subdividing the space within reach of drivers into specified zones where certain essential safety controls are designated. In addition it defines certain combinations of functions for multifunction controls, together with the degree of visibility of indicators and tell-tales. Applicable to hand-operated controls, indicators and to tell-tales for left and right-hand drive passenger cars (see ISO 3833).
