Specifies dimensions and requirements for wood block flooring for industrial use (type GE block flooring; 'block flooring', for short). Such use involves particularly high shear and tensile stresses due to heavy industrial truck or other vehicular traffic, the effects of moisture, and other high loads. Highly damp areas include foundries, factory workshops, warehouses and garages, particularly those in which melting ice or water is likely to drip from vehicles. If such conditions do not exist, type RE-W block flooring as specified in DIN 68702 shall be laid.
