Provides dimensions and tolerances for taps for Unified threads. The nominal sizes given in the tables are in accordance with the nominal sizes given in BS 1580. Details of the formulae and tables of the basic elements to be employed in calculations relating to taps for special threads are also given, and the alternative forms of crest resulting from different manufacturing processes are illustrated in Appendix A.
