Covers construction materials and specifies a method of establishing the water absorption coefficient of plaster as specified in DIN 18550 Part 1. This coefficient permits assessment as to which extent the material affords protection against the effects of precipitation and may be used as a measure of characterizing the capillary action in construction materials.
