Proposes the adoption of IEC 60079-5:1997, which specifies the requirements for the construction and testing of powder-filled electrical apparatus. It also covers enclosures, parts of electrical apparatus and Ex components using this explosion-protection technique and sets out a method of determining the minimum safety height and the marking of enclosures. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard.
