Applies to filler metals for gas welding, manual arc welding and gas-shielded arc welding of unalloyed and low alloy cast iron materials, e.g. for cast iron with lamellar graphite as specified in DIN 1691 malleable cast iron as specified in DIN 1692 cast iron with nodular graphite as specified in DIN 1693 Part 1 and of ductile cast iron pipes and fittings for gas and water lines as specified in DIN 28600. Does not deal with fluxes for gas welding and filler metals for submerged arc welding.
