Applies to factory-produced fibre insulating materials, used in the form of mats, felts and boards for impact sound insulation in buildings (impact sound insulating materials 'insulating materials', for short). These insulating materials also help to improve airborne sound insulation and thermal insulation. Also applies to faced insulating materials (see clause 5).
