Gives requirements for air cooled blastfurnace slags up to 40 mm maximum size for use as coarse aggregates in concrete for structural purposes, and in other construction materials. Includes requirements for blastfurnace slags cooled slowly in air by the ball, pit or bank methods of cooling, but excludes requirements for blastfurnace slags from hematite pig iron and ferromanganese production, granulated blastfurnace slags or those treated in the molten state to produce lightweight products.
