Describes relations existing, for the condition of equal-loudness level, between the sound pressure levels and frequencies of pure continuous tones in conditions: the source of sound is directly in front of the listener, the sound field in the absence of the listener consists of a free progressive plane wave, the sound pressure level is measured in the free progressive plane wave in the absence of the listener, conditions of equal-loudness level are determined by the modal value of the judgements of adequately large groups of listeners, and listeners are otologically normal persons in the age group from 18 to 30 years inclusive.
