Describes requirements and tests to check the safety dimensional interchangeability of bayonet lampholders for use with corresponding bayonet lamp caps to BS 5101 : Part 1, with supply voltages up to 250V. Lampholders described are suitable for use with tungsten filament lamps to BS 5971 : Part 1 with B15d or B22d caps. Special constructions may be necessary for lamps of other types according to maximum current demand. Advise on the use of lampholders marked T1 or T2 is included.
