Characteristics of meters for the measurement of the equivalent continuous sound pressure level (L(sub)e(sub)q) of steady, intermittent, fluctuating and impulsive sounds. Gives tests to verify accuracy and stability to ensure that differences in measurements, taken with various makes and models of instrument, are reduced to a practical minimum.
