Structural design of lighting columns shall be verified by calculation by testing. Sets out criteria to be used when verifying the structural design of a lighting column by type testing. Does not cover testing for quality control. It applies to post top columns less than or equal to 20 m height and to columns with brackets less than or equal to 18 m height. Excludes effects caused by the shedding of vortices (Karman turbulence) and effects caused by the attachment of signs, overhead wires, etc.
