Describes requirements for wrought and cast seamless and fabricated austenitic chromium nickel steel butt welding pipe fittings for petroleum industry. Following types of fittings are covered: 45 degree long radius elbows, 90 degree long and short radius elbows, 90 degree long radius tangent elbows, long and short radius return bends, equal and reducing tees, concentric and eccentric reducers, caps and lap joint stub ends. Excludes welding neck flanges which are covered in BS 1560. Purchaser shall specify whether wrought or cast seamless fittings are required, or whether wrought or cast fabricated fittings may be supplied. Also lists information to be supplied by purchaser.
