CONTAINED IN VOL. 11.06, 2005Outlines a method for estimating the fathead minnow (Pimephales promelas) 96-h LC50 of non reactive, non electrolytic organic chemicals acting solely by narcosis (Meyer-Overton toxicity relationship). It is accurate only for organic chemicals toxic due to narcosis, and not ions or reactive. It is not suitable for chemicals whose structures include specific toxic substructures.
