The standard provides guidelines for the application of quality management in projects. It applies to organizations working on projects of varying complexity, small or large, of short or long duration, from a single project to a part of a program or a structured set (portfolio) of projects, in different fields, and regardless of the kind of product / service or process involved, with the aim of satisfying the interested parties to the project through the introduction of quality management in the projects themselves.
