Covers normative references, definitions and nomenclature, types of syringe, freedom from extraneous matter, limits for extractable matter, lubrication of syringes and needles, range of sizes, graduated scale, barrel, piston/plunger assembly, nozzle, needles, performance of assembled syringe, packaging and marking.
