Electronic documents now form the basis for many business transactions, and are thus produced and stored in significant numbers. The increased use of e-commerce systems and the need to ensure their security and integrity now requires that organizations have a clear process for managing this activity. This new set of 5 International Codes of Good Practice cover the whole scope of the e-business revolution. The parts are: 1. Information stored electronically (DISC PD 0008:1999); 2. Electronic communication and e-mail policy; 3. Identity signature and copyright; 4. Using certification authorities; 5. Using trusted third party archives.
