Describes requirements for an artificial ear which covers the audiometric frequency band from 80 Hz to 10 000 Hz. Intended for the calibration of super-aural earphones which are applied with minimum leakage to human ears. Covers simple conventional, a type for use in telephonometric applications, wide band for audiometric applications, special for calibrating insert earphones and a type which faithfully reproduces the characteristics of the mean human ear for use in the laboratory.
