CONTAINED IN VOL. 01.04, 2008Specifies requirements for deformed and plain steelreinforcing bars which prior to surface preparation are prefabricated and coated with a protective fusion-bonded epoxy coating by electrostatic spray or other appropriate method. Prefabricated steel reinforcing bars coated with fusion-bonded epoxy formulations are not intended to be bent or re-bent when manufactured in accordance with this specification. Organic coatings other than epoxy may be used provided they meet the requirements of this specification.
