Applies to fixed capacitors with metallized electrodes and polypropylene dielectric. Gives preferred ratings and characteristics and selects from CECC 30000 appropriate quality assessment procedure, tests and measuring methods, and describes general performance requirements for this sub-family of capacitors. These capacitors may have "self-healing properties" depending on conditions of use. They are primarily for use with direct voltage. Maximum power to be applied is 500 VAR at 50 Hz and maximum peak voltage is 2,500 V. Two performance grades are covered. Grade 1 for long-life application and Grade 2 for normal application.
