Does not apply to permanently installed personnel lifting appliances, fire fighting and fire rescue appliances, unguided work cages suspended from lifting appliances, order picking trucks, tail lifts, moveable appliances with platforms guided by their supporting structures, and work platforms which, being wholly manually operated and extended, cannot be extended under load.
