Describes requirements for joist hangers supported by or built into internal masonry walls or inner skin of cavity walls to provide vertical support to timer floor joists. Does not cover joist hangers designed to transmit horizontal as well as vertical forces. It neglects torsional forces within the floor structure. Includes materials, construction, protective coatings, marking, installation instructions and tests.
