Specifies severities of vibration which may be used as references for the relative evaluation of: shipboard vibration data (useful for the improvement and development of hull vibration reference amplitudes) and superstructure and hull vibration in normally occupied structures. Applies to diesel-driven and turbine merchant ships of length between perpendiculars 100 m or greater. Does not try to establish vibration criteria for acceptance or testing of equipment and machinery. There is a 1 to 100 Hz applicable frequency range.
