SHOULD BE READ IN CONJUNCTION WITH BS EN 60598-1. Defines requirements for handlamps and similar portable, hand-held luminaires to be used with tungsten filament and tubular fluorescent lamps on supply voltages not in excess of 250 V. Does not include handlamps fixed to a support with a wiring screw, clip or magnet, or those used for inspecting the interior of barrels.
Supersedes DIN VDE 0711-208. (07/2004) Applies in conjunction with DIN EN 60598-1 issue 10-2006. Supersedes DIN IEC 60598-2-8. (06/2008) DRAFT 2012 issued in August 2012. (09/2012)
