Applies to rigid stainless steel needle tubing for use in the manufacture of hypodermic needles and other medical devices for human use. Does not apply to flexible stainless steel tubing. Covers normative references, surface finish, cleanliness, limits for acidity, and alkalinity, resistance to breakage and corrosion.
