Establishes requirements for hot rolled and cold rolled flat stainless and heat-resisting steel products in coil and cut length form. Applies to plate from 3 mm up to 100 mm thick, wide strip, sheet from 0.30 mm to less than 3 mm thick, and narrow strip from 0.050 mm to less than 3.00 thick. Covers definition, information to be supplied by the purchaser, steelmaking process, freedom from defects, surface finishes, condition of material on delivery, edge composition, testing and manufacturers certificate, reheat treatment, marking, inspection and testing facilities.
