Proposes the adoption of the second edition of ISO 14004 to describe the elements of an environmental management system (EMS) and provide organizations with guidance on how to develop, implement, maintain or improve an EMS and its coordination with other management systems. It is intended that this Standard be a voluntary internal management tool and not a specification for use by certification registration bodies.
