Gives all the necessary information to efficiently carry out under standardized conditions the declaration, verification and determination of noise emission features of rotating electrical machines. Covers noise measurement methods which can be used, and mounting and operating conditions that should be used for the test. Noise emission features include sound power and emission sound pressure levels. Determining these quantites is needed for comparing noise emitted by machines, for the purpose of noise control, and to allow manufacturers to declare noise emitted. Applies to rotating electrical machines of any height, length or width.
