Provides guidelines for background information and guidance for selecting, installing, usage and maintaining of electrical apparatus for direct detecting and concentrating measurement of toxic gases and vapours in workplace air. Deals with apparatus whose main use is for indication of the presence and concentration of a toxic gas or vapour for provision of a rapid indication or warning of a toxic hazard with a response time as defined in EN 45544-2 and EN 45544-3.
