Describes requirements for three-phase turbine-type machines used as generators. Certain clauses also apply to machines used as synchronous motors or compensators. It supplements the basic requirements for rotating machines that are given in BS 4999. Section one specifies requirements that are common to all turbine-type machines. Sections two and three specify additional requirements for air cooled turbine-type machines and hydrogen or liquid cooled turbine-type machines, respectively. In section four requirements are specified for turbine-type machines driven by combustion gas turbines.
