Specifies requirements for the approval testing of welding procedures for the arc welding of tube to tube-plate joints in metallic materials by semi-automatic, manual, automatic or mechanized processes. Does not cover welding processes such as laser welding, explosive welding or electron-beam welding. This standard may be used as a framework for any agreement, by contracting parties, over parameters to be recorded and the acceptance levels for such processes.
