Dimensions are recommended, test methods are described and requirements are specified, for laboratory glassware made of borosilicate glass 3.3, provided with a vacuum jacket for thermal insulation. The standard covers: (a) Dewar vessels of capacity 100 ml to 40 litres, (b) reaction vessels of capacity 100 ml to 10 litres; (c) columns having inner diameter in the range 5-100 mm, maximum packing depth 1500 mm, and designed for use at temperatures from -50 to +300 degC. It does not apply to equipment operating at pressures of more than 0.1 bar above atmospheric pressure.
