Proposes the adoption of IEC 60079-11:1999, which specifies the requirements for the design, construction, testing and marking of intrinsically safe apparatus for use in potentially explosive atmospheres, and the requirements for associated apparatus intended for connection to intrisically safe circuits entering such atmospheres. Copies of IEC 60079-11:1999 may be purchased from or viewed at any Standards Australia office or at Standards New Zealand. Proposed as Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard.
