Covers geometric, machining and accuracy and repeatability tests for numerically-controlled positioning axes on general purpose and normal accuracy turret and single spindle automatic lathes. In addition, it defines the applicable tolerances corresponding to the above-mentioned tests. Applicable only to lathes with a multi-tool turret, which can be manually and semi-automatically indexed by motion of the turret slide or automatically indexed by an independent control which includes numerical control. Does not include lathes with sliding headstock, but includes lathes with numerical control as far as this Standard applies.
