Deals with star-delta starters for industrial use, the main contacts of which are intended to be connected to circuits the rated voltage of which does not exceed 1000V a.c. States the characteristics of star-delta starters; the conditions with which starters must comply (referring to: their dielectric properties; their operation and behaviour; and the degrees of protection provided by their enclosures); the tests meant to the meeting of these conditions, and the methods to be adopted for these tests; and the data to be marked on the apparatus.
