Gives a method for finding the resolving power of a given camera, film and development combination used in a microcopying system or the resolution achieved in microcouples. It includes a test pattern and a test chart (ISO test chart No.2). The test chart is to be used as part of a test target in the method stated by each relevant International Standard relevant to the applications of microcopying. The standard does not include a method for the determination of the resolving power of microfilm readers or the print-producing equipment. It does however specify the manner in which the resolving power is to be defined or quoted.
