Establishes a method to determine the tensile and compressive load capacity and load displacement characteristics of wall ties nailed, screwed, grouted or otherwise attached to frame elements or inner leaf materials. Intended to connect masonry leaves to frame structures and to inner leaves of cavity walls in a way other than by embedding the inner connection in a mortar joint.
