Gives requirements for cast iron and carbon steel straightway ball valves for general purposes. Includes valves of nominal pressure (PN) designations of 10 bar to 100 bar, with ends flanged in accordance with BS 4504 for nominal diameters (DN) 10 to 600, or with internal screw threads in accordance with BS 21 (ISO R 7) for nominal sizes 1/4 to 4. Valves for use in ANSI (BS 1560) flanged systems, are also covered. Does not include requirements for 'fire safe' valves or for protection against electrostatic build up.
