Specifies requirements in addition to those in the SAA Wiring Rules (AS 3000) for electrical installations in hospitals and medical and dental practices where electromedical procedures are performed on a regular basis. In addition, specifies requirements for certain protective devices (e.g. isolation and overload monitors) and for cardiac-protected and body-protected electrical areas. Included in the appendices are typical forms for commissioning tests for patient treatment areas, methods of measuring magnetic fields and resistance calculations in equipotential areas.
