Applies to thermal insulation work on service installations, the operating temperature of which is higher than the ambient temperature. Service installations are production and distribution installations, e.g. vessels, apparatus, columns, tanks, steam generators, pipework, heating installations, ventilation installations and hot water installations. This does not apply to thermal insulation work on buildings and structures, to shipbuilding and vehicle building, nor to work on the control area of nuclear power stations.
