Classifies degrees of protection provided by enclosures on all types of electrical equipment where the rated voltage does not exceed 72.5 kV. The IP system employed indicates by means of a two numeral code the protection afforded against contact with live and moving parts, also against ingress of solid objects and moisture. Tests to verify degree of protection.
