Defines methods and requirements for speech audiometry with recorded test material presented by conducting of air through an earphone, by bone conduction through a bone vibrator or from a loudspeaker for sound field audiometry. Covers procedures for use of noise either for masking the non-test ear or as a competing sound. All test methods are based on open-set test material. Includes requirements on recorded speech material and recommended methods for maintaining and calibrating speech audiometric equipment.
